Emiline
For Emiline’s character I thought about Margot Robbie and then the connection to Emma Mackey (Manon from the Netflix series Sex Education) was pretty simple. These two actresses resemble each other very much and they would do a wonderful job.
Jason
I must admit that finding an actor for Jason was a little bit trickier. I knew from the start that I wanted Timothée Chalamet to play Jason as a teenager, especially because of the hair that Jason is said to have. But I really had no clue about adult Jason. In the end, I thought that Louis Garrel could be a good fit.
Jeff (Jason’s brother)
I decided to go with Harry Styles for Jason’s brother. What sold me were the hair and the guitar.
Trevor
Justin Hartley is a very good actor and he would be amazing in basically any role.
Cara
When I think about girlfriends The Bold Type always comes to mind, Meghann Fahy would be great as Cara.
